The Bedouin camp

The comfort of a traditional camp, in a remote canyon.

Set far from the tracks, our traditional Bedouin camp welcomes you in large traditional tents, with colourful rugs, beds, showers and toilets.

It is the ideal option for families and for anyone who wants to enjoy the desert with a little more comfort. Please save water: it is precious here.

Your mattress is laid out in our natural cave, facing the desert. No walls, no lights around: just silence and the Milky Way above you.

It is the most authentic experience, the way Bedouins have always slept.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the camp and the bivouac?
At the Bedouin camp, you sleep in a traditional tent. The bivouac is under the open sky, in our cave right next to the camp, on a mattress on the ground or on real beds under the stars. Whatever your night, showers and toilets are at the camp, a few steps away.
How much does a night in the desert cost?
Without a tour, the night costs 30 JOD per person in the traditional bivouac or at the Bedouin camp (40 JOD for a solo traveller), and 55 JOD on real beds under the stars, with dinner, breakfast and 4×4 transfer. With a 4×4 day tour, the night is included from 45 JOD per person, and real beds under the stars are an extra 25 JOD per person per night.
Are there showers?
Yes, for every night. Showers and toilets are at the Bedouin camp, and the bivouac is a few steps away: you can use them before bed and when you wake up.
Is it cold at night?
Nights can be cool all year round. Duvets and blankets are provided, but bring a warm layer.
